About the Designs
How does this normally work?
Begin by emailing me (go to the contact page) and letting me know what you have in mind- what platform (blogger, wordpress...), a custom design, one of the blogger designs, header images, etc.
For the blogger designs:
I need your site title and tagline if you want it in the design. I do not do further modifications to the design beyond putting your site name/tag line in.
For a cutstom designs:
- I ask you to send me some ideas about what you like: colors, other sites you might like, how many columns you want (2 or 3), simple design, any special plugins (esp wordpress), lots of colors, clean... whatever descriptions come to mind are good because it gives me a sense of what you tastes are.
- Depending on what you send me, I either do 1 test design or I send multiple headers to see what you like best. Sometimes people are very specific and so I don't need to generate multiple ideas about headers, and other times people just have an idea of what they like so I do multiple headers to give them a chance to pick out what really fits them. Or sometimes people like elements from the different headers so I combine what they like into one final header
- Using the header that was chosen I put it into a test design and we go from there with customizing it. I add things you might want like an image between the blog entries, lines below the sidebar titles, sidebar titles, etc.
- When you've decided it's perfect, then I ask you to change your password temporarily and I go in and put in the design. I do it this way because I sometimes will tweak things a little bit based on how the entries look. I fix any sidebar issues that I see, and if you need any help getting in anything to your sidebar I can do this at that time.
What platforms?
The blogger designs are for the Blogger with the widgets, but can be converted back into the classic blogger if you prefer. If you like a blogger design and are on wordpress, I also can convert it to wordpress.

How long does it take you to make me a design?
How long the whole process takes depends on a couple of factors: the complexity of the design, the number of revisions, how fast you respond to emails, and how busy I am. It can be a couple of weeks to two months generally.

Where are the images hosted?
If you're on blogger they are on photobucket. If it's wordpress, then they are in the images directory of the theme. Sometimes I use my own site if the images need it because of width limitations on photobucket.
How do you make your designs?
I've gotten a couple of questions about this now, so I bet there are more of you out there. I use adobe Photoshop and Illustrator . I use photoshop the most, illustrator is just for small things here and there. I also use Dreamweaver for upkeep of my site and another site I'm an admin on, but for something like using blogger or wordpress you don't need dreamweaver.
I also use these firefox extentions a lot:
- Firebug This is a great plugin b/c it works well and has a nice interface. It also autocompletes things for you (which is good, and bad depending on what you want to do)
- Web Developer It's simple, but firebug sometimes adds scroll stuff onto images, best for simple little padding/margin issues.
- IE Tab Awesome for checking how sites look in IE but still in firefox. Much easier than opening IE.
About the Thursday Thirteen Headers
Can I use these even if I don't save the images to my own site?
Yes, although if you would them to your website that would be good too.
Do I have to credit you?
Not if you don't want to, but I'd love to see your TT list with the header.

I've said no in the past, and I always make more. So yes- but please send me a request if you'd like a special one.
